What we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have, in plain English. We never sell your personal information for money.
Warhorn Tactical LLC ("Warhorn Tactical," "Warhorn," "we," "us," or "our") is a veteran-owned North Carolina limited liability company that designs and sells tactical apparel and shooting-range accessories. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit warhorntactical.com, buy from our online store, contact us, or interact with us on social media (together, the "Services"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
When online sales open, our store will run on our current or future e-commerce platform (such as Shopify), which hosts the store and processes orders and payments on our behalf, as described in Section 3. Our website at warhorntactical.com, including our contact form, is hosted by Netlify, Inc., and our email signup list is managed by Klaviyo, Inc., both also described in Section 3.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services. Our Terms & Conditions also apply to your use of the Services.
1. Information We Collect
In short: We collect what you give us when you join our list, contact us, or check out, plus standard browsing data from cookies and pixels where used. We never see or store your full card number.
Information you give us
- Contact and order details: name, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address.
- Payment information: card or other payment details you enter at checkout. Payment details are collected and processed by our e-commerce platform (such as Shopify) and its payment partners; Warhorn does not receive or store your full card number.
- Account information (if you create an account): login credentials, saved addresses, and order history. Creating an account is optional, and accounts are available only if we offer them in our store; you can always check out as a guest.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, phone, contact form, or social media direct message, including photos you send with a defect claim.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have signed up for email or text messages.
- Reviews and submissions: product reviews, photos, or other content you choose to submit.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we, our e-commerce platform (such as Shopify), and our service providers may automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, products viewed or added to cart, time spent on pages, approximate location derived from IP address, and checkout activity. See Section 4 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies).
Information from other sources
We may receive information from our e-commerce platform (such as Shopify) and its payment partners (for example, fraud-screening results and order status), shipping carriers (delivery confirmation), and social media platforms when you interact with our accounts (TikTok @warhorn.tactical, YouTube @WarhornTactical, Instagram warhorntactical), subject to your settings on those platforms.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for or knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or other government ID numbers, and we do not sell firearms or ammunition, so we do not collect firearm-purchase background-check information. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as defined by state privacy laws.
2. How We Use Your Information
In short: We use your information to fill orders, handle defect claims, support you, market to you if you opted in, keep the store secure, and follow the law.
We use personal information to:
- process, fulfill, ship, and deliver your orders, and send order confirmations and shipping updates;
- handle defect claims, replacements, and refunds;
- respond to questions and provide customer support;
- manage your account (if any);
- send marketing emails or text messages when you have opted in, and measure how those messages perform;
- run, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including understanding how visitors use our site;
- show you advertising for our products on other websites and platforms, where permitted (see Sections 4 and 8);
- detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, chargebacks, security incidents, and other unlawful activity;
- calculate and collect sales tax and keep business, tax, and accounting records;
- comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms & Conditions; and
- for other purposes we describe to you when we collect the information, or with your consent.
3. Our E-Commerce Platform, Payment Processing, and Other Service Providers
In short: Netlify hosts our website and contact form, Klaviyo runs our email list, and our current or future e-commerce platform (such as Shopify) will run our store and checkout. Each provider's own privacy policy also applies to what it processes.
E-commerce platform. Our store is or will be hosted by our current or future e-commerce platform (such as Shopify Inc. and its affiliates, "Shopify"). Nothing is for sale on our website yet; when online sales open, information you submit through the store, including your contact, order, and payment details, will be transmitted to and stored by that platform so that it can provide the store, checkout, order management, fraud prevention, and related services to us. If we use Shopify, it may process this information in the United States, Canada, and other countries where it or its providers operate. Shopify's handling of personal information is described in the Shopify Privacy Policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy) and the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy (https://privacy.shopify.com/en). Where you use Shopify-branded features such as Shop Pay or the Shop app, Shopify may act as an independent controller of your information under its own policies.
Payments. Payments will be processed through our e-commerce platform's payment service (such as Shopify Payments) and the other payment gateways and methods offered at checkout (which may include digital wallets such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal). We will use only payment processors certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Card numbers are entered into the platform's secure checkout and are not stored on Warhorn systems. If you choose a third-party payment method (for example, PayPal), that provider's privacy policy also applies.
Other service providers. We also use vendors that help us operate the business, such as shipping carriers (for example, USPS, UPS, or FedEx), email and SMS marketing platforms, product review tools, analytics providers, customer-support tools, and our accountants and legal advisors. Some pages of our website and our website contact form are hosted by Netlify, Inc. (https://www.netlify.com/privacy/), which processes visit data (such as IP address and browser information) and the information you submit through the contact form so it can deliver those pages and messages to us. These providers receive only the information they need to perform services for us and are expected to protect it. Klaviyo. Our email signup list and marketing emails are managed by Klaviyo, Inc. When you join our list or tap "Notify Me," your email address, the product you asked about, the page you signed up from, and basic technical information are sent to Klaviyo so it can store our list and send our emails. Klaviyo's handling of personal information is described in the Klaviyo Privacy Policy (https://www.klaviyo.com/legal/privacy). We may also use other email or SMS providers in the future, such as Shopify Email or Shopify Messaging. If we offer product reviews, they may be collected and displayed through third-party review tools we may use, which process the review content and related information you submit under their own privacy policies.
6. Email and Text Message Marketing
In short: Emails and texts go only to people who opted in. Unsubscribe any time, or reply STOP to texts. You never have to agree to marketing to buy from us.
Email. If you sign up for our emails (including by tapping "Notify Me") or opt in at checkout, we will send you news, product launches, and offers through Klaviyo (https://www.klaviyo.com/legal/privacy) or a similar email provider. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address, as required by the federal CAN-SPAM Act, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly (and in any case within 10 business days). Even after you unsubscribe, we may still send transactional emails about your orders, defect claims, or account.
Text messages. We send marketing text messages only to people who give their prior express written consent, for example by checking an unchecked box or texting a keyword, as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing; we share it only with the messaging provider that operates our program. Our texts would be sent through SMS service providers such as Klaviyo, Shopify Messaging, or similar platforms. See the Text Message Terms in our Terms & Conditions.
7. Your Choices
In short: You control marketing, cookies, and your account, and any U.S. customer can ask us to access, correct, or delete their data.
- Marketing: unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, reply STOP to texts, or contact us.
- Cookies and ads: use the cookie banner, browser settings, GPC, or the opt-out tools listed in Section 4.
- Account information: if you have an account, you can review and update much of your information by logging in.
- Access, correction, and deletion: you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us (see Section 15). We extend these requests to all U.S. customers, not just residents of states that require it, subject to the exceptions in Section 8.
8. Additional Information for Residents of Certain U.S. States
In short: If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, or another state with a privacy law, you have specific rights: to know, correct, delete, get a copy, opt out, and appeal. Here's how to use them.
Several states have comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including California (the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, "CCPA"), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island, among others. Some of these laws apply only to businesses that meet revenue or volume thresholds. Whether or not those laws apply to Warhorn, we provide the following information and honor the rights below for residents of those states, to the extent required or practicable.

We collect these categories for the business purposes described in Section 2. In the past 12 months we have not sold personal information for money. However, if we use them, allowing the Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and Google advertising features to collect identifiers, commercial information, and internet activity on our site for targeted advertising may be a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (or "targeted advertising") under the CCPA and other state laws. You can opt out at any time as described below. We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we do not use or disclose personal information to infer characteristics about you beyond what is described here. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- Know / access the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories and specific pieces of information, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes, to complete your order, to honor a defect claim, or to prevent fraud);
- Data portability, meaning a copy of your information in a portable format;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, of targeted advertising, and of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (we do not engage in such profiling); and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We will not deny you goods, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
How to submit a request
Email info@warhorntactical.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," call (910) 699-3848, or write to Warhorn Tactical LLC, Attn: Privacy, P.O. Box 140, Aberdeen, NC 28315. To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of our site, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honor automatically for that browser. If you have an account or have given us your email address, you can also email us so that we can apply the opt-out to your customer record.
To protect your information, we will verify your identity by matching information you provide (such as your email address and a recent order number) with information in our records. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly. We will respond within 45 days of receiving your request, and may extend this once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you. We do not charge a fee unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Appeals
If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing info@warhorntactical.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to an appeal within the time required by your state's law (generally 45 or 60 days). If you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact your state Attorney General.
California "Shine the Light"
California residents may ask once per calendar year whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes during the prior calendar year. We do not make such disclosures. Requests may be sent to the contact information in Section 15.
9. Children's Privacy
In short: This site isn't for kids. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13, and you must be 18 or older to buy.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to make a purchase or create an account, and our shooting accessories are intended only for adults. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Data Security and Breach Notification
In short: We protect your data with reasonable safeguards, and if there is ever a breach, we will notify you as North Carolina law requires.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small business to protect personal information, including relying on a PCI DSS-compliant checkout from our e-commerce platform, encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections, limiting access to customer information to people who need it, and using strong authentication for our business accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not email us full card numbers or other sensitive information.
If a security breach involving your personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals, and where required the Consumer Protection Division of the North Carolina Attorney General's Office and consumer reporting agencies, without unreasonable delay, in accordance with the North Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act (N.C. Gen. Stat. 75-60 et seq., including 75-65) and other applicable state laws.
11. Data Retention
In short: We keep data only as long as we need it for orders, taxes, support, and the law. After that, we delete it or de-identify it.
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. In general: order, payment, and tax records are kept for as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (generally 7 years after the order); customer-support and defect-claim records are kept for 3 years after the issue is resolved; marketing lists are kept until you unsubscribe (we keep a suppression record so we do not contact you again); and analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics tool. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it. Shopify retains information it processes according to its own policies.
12. Third-Party Sites and Social Media
In short: Other sites and social platforms have their own privacy rules.
Our site may link to other websites and to our social media pages on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Those platforms collect information under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Anything you post publicly on social media may be seen by others.
13. Visitors Outside the United States
In short: We're a U.S. business. If you order from abroad, your data is processed in the U.S. and shared with carriers and customs as needed.
Warhorn Tactical is based in North Carolina, and the Services are operated from the United States. We also ship internationally; to do so, we share the recipient's name, address, phone number, and order contents with carriers and customs authorities as needed to clear the shipment. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States and in other countries where Shopify and our providers operate, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
In short: When we update this policy, we change the date at the top, and we tell you about any material changes.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last Updated" date. If we make material changes to how we use personal information we already have, we will give notice on the site or by email and, where required by law, ask for your consent.
